About us
We are a family focused, family run, non-profit ministry offering hands on classes for students from kindergarten through high school in areas such as science & engineering, creative arts, life skills & career; homesteading & natural living. These Four Pillars of Learning reflect our commitment to supporting the whole family.
The Gathering Place is more than classes, though. It’s a community. Parents are welcome to drop off their children or stay and relax in our cozy lounge, where friendships naturally form over conversation and coffee.
For families seeking meaningful time together, we also host game nights, movie nights, seasonal gatherings, and farm retreats — simple, joyful opportunities to connect with one another and with other families in our community.
Our family brings decades of combined experience in STEM education, creative arts, homesteading, youth ministry, and hands‑on project learning. We’ve taught robotics, engineering, dance, natural living, and life skills in both community and ministry settings, and we’ve spent years building programs that help children and teens grow in confidence, creativity, and practical ability. Everything we teach comes from real experience — the kind you gain from raising a family on a working farm, leading youth programs, coaching teams, and creating spaces where learning feels alive. We hope you’ll decide to join us!
Our Community Partnerships
The Gathering Place is a proud C.E.O. Partner for three Tullahoma-area schools. Through this partnership, we support educators with classroom resources, volunteer involvement, and community connections that strengthen student learning. Our commitment to local schools reflects our heart for serving families and investing in the next generation.
Organic Gardening, Plant Guilds & Pollinators: “Experiences like these are exactly what Fantastic Friday is all about - bringing community partners and students together for real-world, hands-on learning! Thank you again to The Gathering Place for sharing your time and knowledge with our 5th graders. We loved having you at Hickerson!” - Hickerson Elementary
