Space Missions - Adventures in Astronomy (5th-8th) Tuesday 2:15-3:15

$350.00

*Payment Plans Available: $95 deposit | $63.75/mo

16 Weeks of class meeting September 1st - December 31st with a week off for Thanksgiving and a week off for Christmas

This class invites students into an exciting year of discovery as they explore God’s universe through real NASA and SpaceX missions, Artemis astronaut training, hands‑on engineering challenges, model rocket launches, and night‑sky observation at the farm. Designed for Grades 5-8, this program blends curiosity, STEM learning, and teamwork.

Students will work on missions that mimic real-life issues facing astronauts and scientists such as building a survival kit and studying weather systems. We will use robotics, coding, and 3D printing and design to tackle these challenges while following along in real time with the launches and ongoing missions of NASA. We have also invited a local NASA engineer who is personally involved with the Artemis project to share his experiences with the class, and may plan to visit a nearby aerospace center.
